Job summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking a Class B CDL driver to deliver fresh produce across the Portland metro area, with overnight routes and early hours. You will load/unload with a pallet jack, check invoices, and provide friendly, dependable service to customers while ensuring safe vehicle operation.

Typical duties include payment collection for COD customers, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with teammates to support on-time deliveries. Benefits include health coverage and time off.

Qualifications

• Be 23 years or older due to insurance requirements.
• 1+ year of driving experience highly preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL and medical card interstate qualification, registered.
• Ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Perform superior customer service during deliveries.

Job Description

Schedule: Typical dispatch times are between 12 AM and 4 AM

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Portland Metro area.

Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To:

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries
• Load and unload product from trailer with electric pallet jack
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues
• Professionally maintained, reliable and safe equipment
• Palletized product is delivered to a dock or with a lift gate
• All other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Be 23 yrs. or older due to insurance requirements
• 1+ year of driving experience highly preferred
• Valid Class B CDL and medical card Interstate qualification, registered
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English Satisfactory driving record
