Job summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking qualified Non-CDL Drivers to deliver fresh produce to customers throughout the Portland Metro area. Typical dispatch times are early morning, starting around 3 AM to 6 AM, with a focus on safe, accurate delivery and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be 23 yrs or older due to insurance requirements.
• 1+ year of driving experience highly preferred.
• Valid Class C (Non-CDL) license and medical card Interstate qualification, registered.
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding English per DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries.
• Load and unload product from trailer with electric pallet jack.
• Provide superior customer service during each delivery.
• Promote a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented attitude with colleagues.
• Operate and maintain safe, reliable equipment.

Compensation Details

• Starting at $23/hour.
• Potential 90-day performance-based raise.
• Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure.

Job Description

Schedule: Typical dispatch times are between 3 AM and 6 AM

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Portland Metro area.

Essential Responsibilities (include, But Not Limited To)

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries
• Load and unload product from trailer with electric pallet jack
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues
• Professionally maintained, reliable and safe equipment
• Palletized product is delivered to a dock or with a lift gate
• All other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Be 23 yrs. or older due to insurance requirements.
• 1+ year of driving experience highly preferred.
• Valid Class C (Non-CDL) license and medical card Interstate qualification, registered.
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift.
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English Satisfactory driving record.
