Job summary

Charlie’s Produce is seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to ensure safe and efficient daytime produce deliveries across the Greater Los Angeles area. The role involves daily 53' tractor trailer routes, invoice verification, and on-site customer service during each drop-off.

You will operate with a focus on accuracy and timeliness while upholding safety standards and company policy. A valid CDL A, 1+ year driving experience, and English literacy are required, with competitive hourly pay and

Responsibilities

• Deliver produce locally daily in 53' tractor trailer.

• Use pallet jack or hand truck for palletized deliveries.
• Provide superior customer service at each delivery.
• Assist in collecting payments for COD customers.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude.

Additional Compensation Details:

• $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr, depending on experience.
• Potential 90-day performance-based raise.
• Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure.

Job Description

The Role

You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.

Schedule: Days, early morning hours, full-time, split days off, includes weekends and holidays.

Essential Responsibilities Include, And Are Not Limited To:

• Local delivery of produce items daily in 53' tractor trailer.
• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries.
• Palletized product will be delivered to customers with hand truck or electric pallet jack.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery.
• Assist in issuing digital credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers.
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues.
• All other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

• Be 23 yrs. or older due to insurance requirements
• 1+ year of driving experience
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card Interstate qualification, registered
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English
