Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We use safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong together, capable of getting things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomically designed seats, perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios, right way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair and wash facilities are available.

Pay

- Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays for detention, layovers, and other factors. Average weekly pay is between $2600 and $3200, paid weekly via direct deposit. Drivers are paid for the work completed the previous week.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Outlying areas may see longer trips with up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon before hiring and is honored. Drivers should notify dispatch of home time needs. We try to accommodate special events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in Missouri. Over half is drop and hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry van and reefer trailers mostly in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, borders, and west of Denver. Freight is mostly contracted, using major highways, with no dedicated routes. Fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider & Canine Policies

- One passenger aged 12 or older allowed from day 1. Pet policy allows 2 small dogs or 1 large dog, with a $500 fee and weekly deduction until paid off. No cats, reptiles, or birds allowed.
