Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! We employ 200 company drivers who keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet features safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, ensuring high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together, we get things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. These are the safest trucks on the road, optimized with ergonomically designed seats, perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletops, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverters, dual antennas, flat screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales, and Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair facilities and wash bays are available for maintenance and cleanliness.

Pay

- Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layovers, and other factors varies by load and hours. Average weekly pay ranges from $2,600 to $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after 12-14 days out in our running area. Some areas may allow longer stays with up to 4 days off, and arrangements are confirmed in writing before hiring. Drivers are encouraged to communicate their home time needs to dispatch. While days off do not accrue weekly, we aim to accommodate special events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The remaining freight involves 1 pick-1 drop jobs. We primarily haul dry van and reefer loads (climate-controlled), avoiding slaughterhouses, fresh meat, ports, and borders. Most freight is in the central US corridor, utilizing major highways and contracted freight. No dedicated routes are assigned; drivers may run a mix of dry van and reefer loads, with fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider & Canine Policies

- Riders: 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1.

- Canine: $500 fee per pet, with a limit of 2 small or 1 large dog. Deduction of $100 weekly until paid. Policy is non-refundable once the pet is placed in the truck. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
