Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! Our 200 company drivers keep families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, ensuring high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong together, capable of getting things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 automatic trucks, considered the safest on the road. Features include ergonomically designed seats, well-positioned steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletops, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverters, dual antennas, flat-screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales, and an on-site maintenance and wash facility.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays for detention, layovers, and other factors are determined per load and driver hours. Average weekly pay is $2,600-$3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Outlying areas may offer longer periods out and additional days off, with prior written agreement. Drivers can request home time needs to dispatch, and we aim to accommodate special events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over half being drop-and-hook. The fleet transports dry van and reefer loads, mainly in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, borders, and west of Denver. No dedicated routes; primarily contracted freight with major highway routes and Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger aged 12 or older allowed from day one. Pet policy: $500 fee per pet, with deductions of $100 weekly until paid, allowing for changes of canines. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
