Overview

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our team of 200 company drivers keeps families supplied with essential household goods using safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities. We offer high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. Join us to be part of a strong team committed to getting things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 trucks, automatic transmission. Features include ergonomic seats, optimal steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units (with 3500W inverter), dual antennas, flat-screen TV mount, satellite radios, right-way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. Maintenance is handled on-site, with wash bays available.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 CPM, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layovers, and other factors varies per load and hours. Average weekly pay is between $2600 and $3200, paid weekly via direct deposit. No holdbacks.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our area. Outlying areas may have longer stretches out and up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon in advance and can accommodate special events and appointments. While days off are not accrued weekly, we strive to meet drivers' needs.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry van and reefer trailers, primarily in the US middle corridor, avoiding NY City, ports, borders, and west of Denver. Freight is mostly contracted, using major highways, with no dedicated routes. Fueling is available at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Additional Policies

Passenger policy allows 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1. Pet policy permits 2 small dogs or 1 large dog with a $500 fee, deducted weekly until paid, non-refundable once the pet is placed in the truck. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
