Job summary

OmniSource is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This role focuses on safely transporting scrap metal, meeting delivery timelines, and maintaining accurate logs while complying with DOT regulations.

You will work with dispatch to coordinate schedules and support overall operations. The ideal candidate has CDL A, 2 years tractor/trailer experience (or 1 year with a driving school certificate), strong math and communication skills, and a safety-minded attitude.

Qualifications

• Must possess CDL Class A and pass Federal DOT drug screen.
• 2 years verifiable tractor/trailer experience or 1 year with a graduation certificate.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service, and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log DVIR.
• Safety-minded attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to read/write English and communicate with law enforcement and company personnel.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor/trailer to pick up, transport, and deliver scrap metal.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logs.
• Maintain shipping documentation and ensure DOT compliance.
• Coordinate with dispatch and field teams to manage schedules.
