OmniSource is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX. You will operate a diesel-powered truck and trailer to pick up, transport, and deliver scrap metal, with safety and customer service as top priorities.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, logs, DOT compliance, and coordinating with dispatch. 2 years of tractor/trailer experience or 1 year with a driving-school certificate is required.

Formación

• CDL Class A license required and ability to pass a DOT drug screen.
• 2 years verifiable tractor/trailer experience or 1 year with graduation from driving school.
• Ability to read/interpret safety rules and manuals in English.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service, and inspection standards.
• Experience in scrap metal or recycling industry preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Hook and unhook trailers from tractor.
• Inspect truck/trailers for safety and log DVIR defects.
• Verify shipping paperwork for accuracy.
• Drive per Federal and State regulations and company policies.
• Maintain logs, fuel records, and mileage for compliance.
• Coordinate with dispatch and field teams to plan schedules.
• Report accidents and highway hazards promptly.
• Represent the Company professionally to customers.
