OmniSource is hiring a CDL-A Truck Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator. You will load/unload material, transport scrap, and support sourcing and dismantling on site. The job requires attention to safety, good weather endurance, and accurate paperwork.

The role demands 2 years of tractor/trailer experience or 1 year with a driving school certificate, plus a Class A CDL and forklift license. Excellent communication and independent problem-solving are essential.

Formación

• 2 years of verifiable tractor/trailer experience; or 1 year with a graduation certificate from an accredited tractor/trailer driving school.
• Must possess or obtain Class A - Commercial Driver's License.
• Forklift license required.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Hook and unhook trailers from tractor.
• Inspect trailers and truck for defects and perform DVIR notes.
• Check shipping paperwork for accuracy.
• Drive according to regulations and company policies.
• Maneuver vehicles in challenging conditions and spaces.
• Ensure shipping documents are ready for inspection.
• Maintain logs, fuel records, and mileage per regulations.
• Complete paperwork accurately related to truck operation and scrap movement.
• Report accidents, delays, and safety hazards promptly.
• Represent the company professionally.
