OmniSource is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our on-site team. You will transport scrap metal, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT rules while maintaining accurate logs and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A license.
• Must pass Federal DOT drug screen.
• 2 years verifiable tractor/trailer experience or 1 year with graduation certificate from accredited driving school.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English documents including safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Hook and unhook trailers from tractor.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log DVIR defects.
• Verify shipping paperwork for accuracy.
• Drive in compliance with Federal/State regulations and company policies.
• Maintain driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage, and required records.
• Report accidents and highway safety hazards.
• Coordinate with dispatch and field teams to meet schedules.
