Job summary

Sunstall Inc. in Smithfield, VA is seeking reliable CDL Class A drivers to safely transport materials and debris to and from job sites. This role may involve moving heavy equipment and requires a strong safety record and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have clean driving records, mulch hauling experience, knowledge of DOT rules, and the ability to secure loads. Per diem travel is provided where applicable, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Prior hauling mulch and using a walking-floor trailer.
• Experience transporting heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and safe hauling practices.
• Ability to secure loads with chains, binders, straps and tarps.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel to job sites (per diem provided where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A trucks to haul equipment, materials, and debris.
• Be familiar with and operate a walking-floor trailer to transport and dump mulch.
• Load and unload equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and other heavy machinery.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation per DOT regulations.
• Coordinate deliveries with project management, superintendents and crew.
• Adhere to safety policies, DOT regulations and environmental standards.
• Assist with site-related tasks when not driving.
