Job summary

Yellowstone Local is seeking a skilled equipment operator to travel across Nebraska, North Dakota, and the Midwest on commercial and industrial construction projects. You will operate heavy equipment such as skid loaders, excavators, and reach forklifts, drive company vehicles with a Class A CDL, and support site prep and concrete work.

Expect four to five week assignments with travel expenses covered and hotel accommodations provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions is required.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience and heavy equipment operation.
• Experience operating skid loaders, excavators, and reach forklifts preferred.
• Willingness to travel for extended assignments (4–5 weeks).
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor labor and follow safety rules.

Your New Role

• Travel from Valley, Nebraska to commercial and industrial construction sites throughout the Midwest

• Operate heavy equipment including skid loaders, excavators, and reach forklifts

• Drive company vehicles utilizing your Class A CDL

• Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and concrete construction activities

• Support commercial construction and industrial construction projects from start to finish

• Perform construction tasks in varying outdoor weather conditions

• Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations

• Utilize smartphone applications and digital tools for communication, scheduling, and project documentation

• Support daily field operations and equipment operation needs

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects safely and on schedule

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions

• Experience operating skid loaders, excavators, and reach forklifts

• Concrete construction experience strongly preferred

• Ability and willingness to travel for extended assignments, typically lasting 4-5 weeks, with flexibility based on project needs

• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications for communication and reporting

• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed

• Ability to perform physically demanding labor in outdoor environments

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and team-oriented attitude

• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company procedures

• Experience with heavy equipment operation, site preparation, excavation, grading, and commercial construction projects preferred
