Job summary

Yellowstone Local is seeking a skilled equipment operator to travel across Nebraska, North Dakota, and the Midwest on commercial and industrial construction projects. You will operate heavy equipment such as skid loaders, excavators, and reach forklifts, drive company vehicles with a Class A CDL, and support site prep and concrete work.

Expect four to five week assignments with travel expenses covered and hotel accommodations provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions is required.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience and heavy equipment operation.
• Experience operating skid loaders, excavators, and reach forklifts preferred.
• Willingness to travel for extended assignments (4–5 weeks).
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor labor and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including skid loaders, excavators, and reach forklifts.
• Drive company vehicles with a Class A CDL to job sites across the Midwest.
• Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and concrete work.
• Support construction projects from start to finish and document work with mobile apps.
• Collaborate with supervisors to complete projects safely and on schedule.
