Job summary

Tucker Door & Trim in Richmond, VA is looking for Class A CDL drivers to join our expanding fleet. Enjoy regular weekday routes, dedicated runs, and a modern fleet delivering to customers across the Southeast.

Responsibilities include on-time deliveries, vehicle inspections, and adherence to safety and company policies. Training is provided; hotel stays on layovers are covered; earnings potential up to $86k annually.

Qualifications

• 18 months of proven Class A driving experience in the last 36 months.
• No major moving or driving violations in the last year.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software.
• Ability to sit/stand and enter/exit the truck for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues; perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met and documents are retained for each trip.
• Comply with truck driving rules, route designations, parking and break periods.
• Adhere to Tucker Door & Trim safety policies and report defects or violations immediately.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.

We have immediate openings for Class A CDL drivers in Richmond, VA.

Since 1967, Tucker Door & Trim has been a well-respected wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and specialty millwork for the construction industry.

Our ever-growing fleet of tractor-trailers make regular deliveries to wholesale customers throughout the southeastern United States, including Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland and DC.

Requirements

• 18 months of proven CLASS A Truck Driving Experience within the last 36 months
• No major moving or driving violations within the last year
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software
• Ability to sit, stand, enter and exit the truck and trailer continuously over long periods of time
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, and safety issues, perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections
• Ensure that delivery schedules are deliveredas scheduled
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods)
• Ensure compliance with Tucker Door and Trim safety and company policies
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Immediately report defects, accidents, or violations
