Job summary

Tucker Door & Trim in Richmond, VA is hiring immediate Class A CDL drivers. Since 1967, Tucker has been a trusted wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and millwork for the construction industry, with a growing fleet and dedicated runs.

You will run Monday through Friday with no weekends, operate new model equipment on layovers with hotel room paid by the company, and receive paid training. Requires 18 months of Class A experience and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 18 months of proven CLASS A Truck Driving Experience within the last 36 months.
• No major moving or driving violations within the last year.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software.
• Ability to sit, stand, enter and exit the truck and trailer continuously over long periods of time.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, and safety issues, perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections
• Ensure that delivery schedules are deliveredas scheduled
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods)
• Ensure compliance with Tucker Door and Trim safety and company policies
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Immediately report defects, accidents, or violations
