Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues, and perform inspections.
• Ensure that delivery schedules are met.
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Immediately report defects, accidents, or violations.

Since 1967, Tucker Door & Trim has been a well-respected wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows and specialty millwork to the construction industry.

Tucker Door & Trim boasts an ever-growing fleet of tractor-trailers making regular deliveries to wholesale customers throughout the southeastern United States, including Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

We have immediate openings for Class A CDL drivers and want you to join our team of drivers who have lifelong careers with us.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues, perform pre-trip, inter-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ensure that delivery schedules are met as scheduled
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods)
• Ensure compliance with Tucker Door and Trim safety and company policies
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Immediately report defects, accidents or violations

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting, standing, entering and exiting truck and trailer continuously for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds; infrequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
