Job summary

Tucker Door and Trim is seeking Class A CDL drivers for immediate openings in Richmond, VA. Since 1967, Tucker Door & Trim has been a respected wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and millwork. Our fleet serves the southeastern US with dedicated runs and regular hotel accommodations on layovers.

The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and compliance with company policies. Training is provided, and most shifts are Monday through Friday with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with 18 months of proven experience within the last 36 months.
• No major moving or driving violations within the last year.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software.
• Ability to sit, stand, enter and exit the truck and trailer for long periods.
• Regularly lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues; perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met.
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip.
• Comply with truck driving rules, weight limits, route designations, and breaks.
• Adhere to Tucker Door and Trim safety and company policies.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
• Immediately report defects, accidents, or violations.

Our ever‑growing fleet of tractor‑trailers make regular deliveries to wholesale customers throughout the southeastern United States, including Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland and DC.

Requirements

• 18 months of proven CLASS A Truck Driving Experience within the last 36 months
• No major moving or driving violations within the last year
• Hands‑on experience with electronic equipment and software
• Ability to sit, stand, enter and exit the truck and trailer continuously over long periods of time
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, and safety issues, perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections
• Ensure that delivery schedules are delivered as scheduled
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods)
• Ensure compliance with Tucker Door and Trim safety and company policies
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Immediately report defects, accidents, or violations
