Job summary

Tuckerdoor in Albany, GA is seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers to join our team. Candidates will be responsible for transporting goods, conducting vehicle inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of proven truck driving experience and a clean driving record. This position offers hourly pay, dedicated runs, and paid training.

Qualifications

• 18 months of proven truck driving experience within the last 36 months.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software.
• No major moving or driving violations within the last year.
• 18 months of class A commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to manufacturing plants or retail centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met.
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Immediately report defects, accidents or violations.

Skills

• 18 months of proven truck driving experience within the last 36 months
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues, perform pre-trip, inter-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ensure that delivery schedules are meet as scheduled
• Retain all necessary documents for each trip
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods)
• Ensure compliance with Tucker Door and Trim safety and company policies
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Immediately report defects, accidents or violations

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting, standing, entering and exiting truck and trailer continuously for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds; infrequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
