Job summary

GPC, the local Pepsi distributor, seeks a Class A CDL Driver to operate a semi-truck, deliver products to customer routes, and merchandise shelves while upholding safety and brand standards.

You will be the face of GPC, delivering excellent customer service, managing deliveries, and maintaining accurate logs. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and independent, timely execution of routes.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong time-management and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to safely deliver products to a designated customer route.
• Unload and check in products and ensure accurate delivery quantities with store personnel.
• Merchandise product at designated stops to ensure shelves are well-stocked and displays meet GPC standards.
• Serve as the face of GPC, fostering strong relationships with store teams and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns on-site professionally.

Work Schedule:

• · Be home every evening and night—no overnight hauls.
• · Enjoy a four-day workweek (10-hour shifts)
• · Start time is 5:00 AM.

A day in the life of a Class A CDL Driver:

• · Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to safely deliver products to a designated customer route.
• · Unload and check in products and ensure accurate delivery quantities with store personnel.
• · Merchandise product at designated stops to ensure shelves are well-stocked and displays meet GPC standards.
• · Serve as the face of GPC, fostering strong relationships with store teams and maintaining a positive brand image.
• · Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns on-site professionally.
• · Maintain compliance with all DOT, company, and safety policies and regulations.
• · Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs.

What does it take to succeed as a Class A CDL driver?

• · Clean driving record with a strong safety history
• · Ability to lift, carry, and handle up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
• · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• · Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently
• · Prior experience with product delivery, merchandising, or route sales is a plus but not required
• · A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service
