Job summary

GPC, a leading beverage distributor serving Wisconsin and Iowa, is seeking a Distribution Team Advisor to oversee delivery and distribution activities across territories. The role drives efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction while guiding a team of drivers and distribution staff.

You will coordinate routes, work with Operations and Sales leadership to maximize profitability, and coach team members to meet performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent with 5+ years in distribution/management.
• Minimum 5 years of related management experience preferred.
• Class A CDL license required.
• Clean driving record with strong safety history.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules drivers to cover routes on a regular basis.
• Collaborates with the Operations Manager to maximize effectiveness and profitability.
• Partners with sales leadership to achieve revenue goals.

We have an opportunity for you to join the team as aDistribution Team Advisor! The Distribution Team Advisor is responsible for directing and supervising delivery and distribution activities for the Wisconsin and Iowa territories at GPC.

A day in the life of a Distribution Team Advisor looks like:

• Schedules drivers as appropriate to cover required routes on a regular basis.
• Works with the Operations Manager to maximize effectiveness and profitability.
• Works with sales leadership to achieve revenue goals.
• Provides oversight and direction to the distribution employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies by effectively participating in the hiring and selection process and fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• Coaches, mentors and develops staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes.
• Performs and/or assists with driver routes as necessary to ensure proper coverage of workload.

What does it take to be a Distribution Team Advisor?

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or at minimum a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years’ experience with industry or distribution environment experience
• Minimum 5 years of related management experience preferred
• Class A CDL license is required
• Clean driving record with a strong safety history
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle up to 50 lbs regularly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
