Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a Class A CDL Combo Driver/Dockworker to safely load/unload freight and deliver between service centers and customer sites. The role requires strong attention to safety, an ability to read labels, and adherence to DOT rules.

Flexible shifts, weekend work, and holidays may be required. The position combines dockwork duties with tractor-trailer driving to ensure on-time freight delivery while maintaining high loading standards and compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements.
• 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must pass DOT medical, drug, and alcohol tests and background checks.
• Ability to read maps and maintain logs; English literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift or manually in a safe, DOT-compliant manner.
• Deliver freight between service centers and customer facilities by tractor-trailer.
• Operate within DOT hours of service regulations and pass medical, drug, and alcohol tests.
• Read shipping labels and prepare required freight movement documents.
