Position: TPA with Growth Opportunities – Construction Defect Claims Unit Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise a team of 5-8 claims personnel and manage their caseloads proactively.
  2. Adhere to all file handling standards, NARS Best Practices, state statutes, and requirements to pass audits by regulatory agencies, carriers, and clients. Write well-structured emails and LLRs internally and externally.
  3. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values.
  4. Maintain strict confidentiality of client, company, and personnel information.
  5. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to meet company objectives.
  6. Review and respond to claim appeals and grievances, investigate, and address complaints.
  7. Follow the policies and procedures of NARS.
  8. Lead by example to foster a culture of service and continuous improvement.
  9. Provide leadership to achieve key business goals.
  10. Assign accountability for outcomes and ensure adjusters meet required deadlines.
  11. Communicate clearly and provide adequate direction.
  12. Track trends by program and unit; be familiar with the team’s claims when queried by clients.
  13. Develop a thorough understanding of the team’s clients and confidently discuss their claims.
  14. Manage corrective actions in accordance with Human Resources guidelines.

Qualification Requirements:

Education / Licensing:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree or higher preferred.
  • 7+ years of claims and litigation experience, preferably in the relevant line of business.
  • 2+ years of Claims Supervisory experience or related roles.
  • Claims designation (AIC, ARM, CPCU, SCLA, or other industry-related certifications).
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Florida Adjuster’s license or other required jurisdictional licensing.

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for the Construction Defect Claims Unit Manager position is $80,000 - $150,000, excluding benefits and bonuses. Salary will be determined based on location, skills, education, and experience. The role is also eligible for annual performance-based raises. We value pay equality and consider internal equity during offers. The salary range is full base salary; hiring at the maximum is uncommon to allow for future growth. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
