Position Overview

We are seeking a Construction Defect Claims Unit Manager to join our team at North American Risk Services (NARS), a leading third-party claims administrator. This role offers growth opportunities and a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $150,000, based on experience and location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 5-8 claims professionals, managing their caseloads proactively.
• Ensure compliance with file handling standards, NARS Best Practices, and all applicable regulations to pass audits.
• Communicate effectively through well-written emails and reports internally and externally.
• Maintain a strong commitment to organizational values and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to meet company objectives.
• Handle claim appeals, grievances, and investigations thoroughly.
• Lead by example to foster a culture of service and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership to achieve business goals, assign accountability, and monitor team performance.
• Maintain knowledge of client claims and track trends for effective management.
• Manage corrective actions following HR guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree or higher preferred.
• 7+ years of claims and litigation experience, preferably in construction defect claims.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in claims management.
• Claims designation (AIC, ARM, CPCU, SCLA, or related) is preferred.
• Ability to obtain or possess a Florida Adjuster’s license or relevant jurisdictional license.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $150,000, with potential bonuses and annual performance raises. Compensation will be based on location, skills, education, and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
