Job Overview

We are seeking a Claims Unit Manager – Construction Defect to lead our team. This role offers a work-from-home opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance effective from the start date, paid time off, 401(k), and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Supervise a team of 5-8 claims professionals, managing their caseloads proactively.
  2. Ensure compliance with all file handling standards, best practices, and legal requirements to pass audits.
  3. Maintain confidentiality and work closely with Quality Assurance to meet company objectives.
  4. Handle claim appeals, grievances, investigations, and responses to complaints.
  5. Lead by example to foster a culture of service and continuous improvement.
  6. Set goals, assign accountability, and monitor team performance.
  7. Track claims trends and be knowledgeable about client claims.
  8. Manage corrective actions in accordance with HR guidelines.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; 2-year degree or higher preferred.
  • 7+ years of claims and litigation experience, preferably in construction defect claims.
  • 2+ years of claims supervisory experience preferred.
  • Claims designations such as AIC, ARM, CPCU, SCLA are preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida Adjuster’s license or relevant jurisdictional license.
Salary Range

The base salary ranges from $80,000 to $150,000, depending on experience, skills, and location. The role is eligible for performance-based raises and benefits.
