Job summary

State Farm seeks leaders to manage Auto and Fire Claims teams, overseeing investigations, settlements, and payments while driving strong customer service and policy compliance. You’ll mentor staff, implement programs, and coordinate with broader claims operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior formal or informal leadership experience; auto claims operations and/or call center experience preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors: customer focus, tackle challenges, inspire others
• Valid driver’s license required; MVR will be checked as part of background check

Responsibilities

• First-line management of assigned Claim personnel including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and salary administration
• Promotes development of employees
• Leads team toward department and company goals
• Reviews and controls the operation's claim activities including investigations, payments, and adjustment expense payments
• Provides technical guidance on claims settlement procedures, policies, contracts, and endorsements
• Coordinates and implements new company programs, policies, and procedures
• Reviews and controls the unit's claim activities and ensures compliance with laws and procedures
• Communicates timely on events affecting customer service and team members
