Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Claims Manager to lead frontline teams in auto or fire claims segments. You will hire, train, coach, and manage performance to ensure top service for customers, while guiding investigations, payments, and policy adherence.

You’ll drive employee development, oversee claims operations, and coordinate with programs and regulatory requirements. A Bachelor’s degree and leadership experience are preferred for this hybrid role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior formal or informal leadership experience required; auto claims operations and/or call center experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors: customer focus, tackling challenges, inspiring teams.

Responsibilities

• First-line management of assigned Claim personnel including hiring, training, coaching, performance management and salary administration.
• Promotes development of employees.
• Leads team toward department and company goals.
• Reviews and controls the operation's claim activities including investigations, claim payments, and adjustment expense payments.
• Provides direction and serves as a resource in claims settlement procedures, policies, contracts, endorsements, and applicable laws.
• Coordinates, communicates, and implements new Company programs, policies, practices, and procedures.
