Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior formal or informal leadership experience required; auto claims operations and/or call center experience preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• A valid driver’s license is required; a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be requested as part of the pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

• Responsible for first-line management of assigned Claim personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management and salary administration
• Promotes development of employees
• Leads team toward department and company goals
• Oversees claim activities including investigations, claim payments, and adjustment expense payments
• Provides direction in claims settlement procedures and policy interpretation
• Coordinates and implements new company programs, policies, practices, and procedures
• Reviews unit's claim activities to ensure quality and compliance
• Keeps customers informed with timely communications
