Gallagher Bassett seeks an experienced leader to supervise a Workers' Compensation claims team, guiding performance, coaching staff, and ensuring efficient service delivery across diverse caseloads.

Ideal candidates will have a long track record in workers' compensation, appropriate licensing, and a commitment to best practices, continuous improvement, and client collaboration in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Background in workers compensation claims adjusting including handling a full indemnity desk plus litigation.
• Minimum of 10 years related claims experience.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are being handled.
• Knowledge of all team member related functions.

• Ensure claims handling follows GB Best Practices.
• Oversee hiring and training to foster performance improvement.
• Set goals, assign work, and optimize team workload.

Overview

• Claims Background: Candidates must have a background in workers compensation claims adjusting including handling a full indemnity desk plus litigation
• Prior leadership experience: Minimum of 2 years prior leadership/people management experience in a claims environment required
• Jurisdictional experience: California Workers Compensation
• Licenses: CA Designation required (up to date on CE hours). SIP optional.
• Location: This role is eligible for fully remote work.

Supervise: Lead and encourage a Workers Compensation claims team handling a variety of caseload sizes and complexities to deliver high-quality and efficient service.
Promote Best Practices: Guide claims team to handle claims in accordance with GB's Best Practices.
Drive Talent: Take charge of adjuster hiring and training, encouraging a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
Manage Workloads: Define team goals, motivate performance, and effectively manage workloads to ensure optimal efficiency.

Client Communication: Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers in a professional, positive, and proactive manner.
Prioritize and Develop: Effectively manage multiple competing priorities, identify coaching opportunities, and position team members for successful development.

About You

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 10 years related claims experience
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled
• Knowledge of all team member related functions
