Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is seeking a remote Claims Examiner based in California.

You’ll take ownership of indemnity claims, maintain diaries, and use IVOS to keep detailed notes while delivering timely, client‑focused service. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 3 years of claims experience, is appropriately licensed, and understands industry standards. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and you will negotiate settlements, coordinate with defense attorneys, and ensure compliant

• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled or able to obtain licenses/certification per local requirements.
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate claim diaries and update notes in IVOS.
• Identify, prevent, and mitigate potential penalties.
• Report excess files, SIU/Fraud cases, and subrogation opportunities.
• Prepare and attend file reviews, ensuring timely claim resolutions.
• Negotiate settlements, oversee legal referrals, and manage defense attorneys.
• Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and update reserves as needed.
• Maintain a 100% closing ratio on active accounts and reduce runoff accounts by 25% annually.
• Provide exceptional client and claimant satisfaction through timely communication and resolution.

About You

Required: High school diploma and 3 years related claims experience required. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
