Job summary

MSI invites motivated interns to join its Summer MSI Insurance Claims Rotational Internship Program in Tampa. The program offers hands-on exposure to the claims lifecycle, including FNOL intake, data-driven reporting, and cross-functional rotations with leadership, operations, and QA.

This internship emphasizes mentorship, technology integration, and real-world analytics in a fast-paced environment. As part of the program, you will interact with senior professionals and develop practical skills

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a recognized college program with a focus on risk management or a related field, and be local to Tampa, Florida.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to solve problems and work well with others while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide support across the claims process starting with the First Notice of Loss (FNOL).
• Assist with system updates, integrations, and implementation projects within the claims department.
• Help build and develop new reports to support data and analytics initiatives.
• Develop new processes and tools that will help drive efficiencies.
• Complete rotations with department leadership, operations/support, training, QI, and other functional areas.
• Assist in reviewing and analyzing claim forms, policies, endorsements, and other records to understand how coverage determinations are made.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
