Job summary

Veit is seeking a Claims Specialist to manage day-to-day claims processes across workers’ compensation, general and auto liability, property, and equipment. You will handle intake, documentation, tracking, and reporting, coordinating with Legal, HR, Safety, Operations, carriers, and providers.

The role requires strong organization, discretion, and professional communication to ensure timely handling and secure records. Base pay is competitive with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business administration, human resources, risk management, safety, legal studies, or related field preferred; equivalent education or experience may be considered.
• One to two years of experience in claims administration, insurance support, safety, or related administrative role preferred.
• Basic understanding of claims administration, insurance processes, and recordkeeping.
• Strong organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

• Support claim intake, reporting, documentation, tracking, and follow-up for various claims.
• Serve as internal contact for employees, supervisors, HR, Safety, Operations, and Legal on claims.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, TPAs, medical providers, and vendors.
• Maintain claim information, incident reports, and related records.
• Assist with return-to-work communication and related follow-up.
• Prepare claim summaries, status updates, and loss reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical and sensitive information.
• Support incident documentation and safety reporting as needed.
