Job summary

McGriff Insurance Broker, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, is seeking a Claim Representative to join the McGriff Specialty Team. The role focuses on handling loss information, guiding claims filing, and supporting the claims team with status updates and projects.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, adjusters experience, and strong client relations and communication skills. A basic familiarity with word processing software is expected.

Responsibilities

A day in the life.

As our Claim Representative on the McGriff Specialty Team , you will:

• Obtain specific information regarding loss/claim to report to the company, as necessary.
• Advise customers what information is necessary for claims filing.
• Respond to customers regarding status of claims.
• Assist producers and claims team with claims status and special projects.
• Respond to company requests for policy information, as necessary.
• Maintain own diary system for use in periodic follow up on selected claims.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• High School graduate
• Coverage and/or adjusters experience, preferabbly in commercial lines
• Utilizes client relation skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts; including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems
• Considerable knowledge of basic company computer programs for word processing, accounting and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree
• Prior brokerage experience
• Knowledge of McGriff's claim management / agency management system or ability to learn quickly

McGriff specializes in business and personal insurance, employee benefit solutions, risk management services, specialized industry expertise and more.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $37,600 to $70,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
