Job summary

McGriff Specialty, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Claim Representative in Houston, TX hybrid role. You will obtain claim information, advise on filing requirements, and communicate status to clients while supporting producers and the claims team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, college degree preferred, and experience in brokerage with knowledge of McGriff's claim management system. Hybrid work, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

A day in the life.

As our Claim Representative on the McGriff Specialty Team, you will:

• Obtain specific information regarding loss/claim to report to the company, as necessary.
• Advise customers what information is necessary for claims filing.
• Respond to customers regarding status of claims.
• Assist producers and claims team with claims status and special projects.
• Respond to company requests for policy information, as necessary.
• Maintain own diary system for use in periodic follow up on selected claims.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• High School graduate
• Operates under the direction of the claims team
• Utilizes client relation skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts; including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems
• Considerable knowledge of basic company computer programs for word processing, accounting and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree
• Prior brokerage experience
• Knowledge of McGriff's claim management / agency management system or ability to learn quickly
