Job summary

McGriff Specialty, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), seeks a Senior Claim Account Executive for the commercial insurance team in Atlanta. You will mentor claim reps, lead consulting efforts on complex claims, and serve as a strategic advisor to owner/developer and contractor clients.

You will coordinate with TPAs, insurers, and internal teams to drive favorable outcomes. You will bring 5+ years in commercial P&C claims, strong knowledge of construction claims, and an Insurance Adjuster

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in commercial property and casualty claims.
• Experience with complex construction claims and builders risk losses.
• Licensure as an Insurance Adjuster is required.
• Knowledge of case laws affecting claims in various industries.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly in writing and verbally.
• Familiarity with industry verticals and claim resolution practices.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach commercial claim representatives.
• Lead claim consulting teams within specialized verticals.
• Advise owners, developers and contractors on claim strategy and settlements.
• Coordinate with TPAs, insurers, clients and service teams on claims.
• Prepare and present technical reports and analyses to stakeholders.

A day in the life.

As our Senior Claim Account Executive on the commercial insurance team, you will:

• Act as a mentor and coach for commercial claim representatives in their efforts to manage and advise in claim matters for clients and prospects.
• Provide support for solving complex claims and the leading of claim consulting teams within our specialized verticals.
• Serve as a strategic advisor and consultant to owner/developer and contractor clients.
• Advise clients relative to claim strategy, settlement, litigation, reserves, RORs and denials.
• Coordinate amongst TPA, insurer, client, internal stakeholders and service teams.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• Five or more years of experience in commercial property and casualty claims role
• Claims expertise relative to complex construction claims, OCIPs, CCIPs, builders risk losses, etc.
• Insurance Adjuster's License
• Familiarity with case laws and claim resolution practices that affect various industries including jurisdictional statues
• Specialization and in-depth knowledge within an industry vertical
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret information, and respond appropriately
• Ability to understand insurance policies, contracts, written and verbal communication in English and interpret abstract information
• Experience making professional presentations and writing technical reports
• Continuing Education and professional associations to stay abreast of insurance claims matters
• Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables; Ability to utilize computer programs and understand their functionality to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Experience navigating the Internet and seeking other sources for resources and research
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Associate in Claims (AIC) designation

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• Multi-line claim experience
• Knowledge of insurance underwriting, loss control and claims processes
