Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a receptionist for the Occupational Health Services team. The role involves patient and visitor reception, check-in/out, scheduling, cash handling, and entering claim information into KP internal systems.

You will interact with members, providers, and third-party payers to ensure accurate billing and responsive service. Under supervision, you will support administrative tasks across departments, process records, generate patient accounts, and maintain Health Connect

Qualifications

• Typing 35 wpm required.
• Minimum of one year relevant clerical and customer service experience in Workers Compensation.
• Successfully passed a medical terminology test.
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation claims processing.
• Cash handling experience.
• Ability to research, summarize and communicate clearly to the public, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Answer and screen incoming phone calls for the department and greet patients/visitors.
• Schedule appointments for workers' compensation patients and coordinate paperwork.
• Open and distribute mail, match bills to reports, and maintain KP internal systems.
