Job summary

Starr, a global leader in commercial insurance, seeks a Claims Manager to oversee aviation liability claims for North America. You will supervise in-house adjusters, outside adjusters and attorneys, acting as the primary contact for key clients and brokers.

You will shape indemnity and expense reserving philosophy, manage an inventory of claims, supervise lawsuits, perform file reviews, bill time, and assist marketing presentations for new business and client retention.

Qualifications

• BA in Business Administration or equivalent discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 8-12 years of progressively more complex aviation or premises liability claim adjusting experience.
• Prefer advanced designation such as AIC, SCLA, or CPCU.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Claims manager responsible for technical oversight of aviation liability claims for North America supervising in-house adjusting staff, outside independent adjusters and attorneys.
• Will be primary contact on key client accounts as well as for brokers.
