Job description

Job Title: Claims Intake Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Intake Specialist to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their healthcare claims processing operations. This remote, temporary position is ideal for someone based in the Eastern Time Zone and focuses on the accurate entry and documentation of incoming healthcare claims.

Compensation:

• $18/hour

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Training schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (2–3 weeks)
• After training: Flexible 8-hour schedule between 6:00 AM – 5:30 PM ET

Key Responsibilities of the Claims Intake Specialist:

• Accurately enter healthcare claims into the designated system on a daily basis
• Upload and attach all relevant supporting documentation to member files
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
• Learn and effectively utilize proprietary software and tools
• Meet or exceed daily productivity goals and performance metrics
• Take initiative in supporting additional responsibilities as assigned
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications and Skills for the Claims Intake Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a positive team environment
• Previous experience in healthcare or insurance is a plus
