Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Risk Department Coordinator in Omaha, NE to provide essential intake and administrative support for workers’ compensation claims.

The role ensures smooth claims processing, data logging, and coordination with adjusters and medical providers. You will triage claims, arrange light-duty or treatment logistics, manage file documentation, and handle high-volume communications while upholding privacy and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business or healthcare field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced professional office environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial point of contact for new workers’ compensation claims and conduct intake interviews.
• Log and organize initial data for claims and triage before assignment to an Adjuster.
• Coordinate logistics for light duty, treatment, or home-based care for injured drivers.
• Set up and maintain claim files, ensuring documentation is complete for the Adjuster.
• Assist with reporting of out-of-state claims to the TPA and maintain thorough follow-up.
• Provide phone support and email/mail handling for risk intake.
• Support Adjusters with file preparation, litigation readiness, and task execution.
• Complete special projects and ensure compliance with company policies and legal procedures.
