The role emphasizes strong communication and accurate claim evaluation, with duties spanning intake, investigation, and negotiation of approvals or denials. The position requires an associate degree with insurance knowledge or related experience, plus several years in claims processing or insurance operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited college with emphasis in Business Management or Insurance preferred or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Two to three years experience with workers' compensation claims processing or equivalent experience preferred.
• One to two years of experience in insurance operations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receive phone calls from employees reporting an injury, filing a claim, or inquiring about a claim.
• Coordinate medical bills and manage claims related to an injury, until the claim is closed.
• Enter data into the computer system dealing with information within a claim such as medical status, medical bills, reports, and wage loss.
• Examine Workmen's Compensation claims and determine approval or denial of claims.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
