Job summary

Zego is hiring a junior Personal Injury and Credit Hire Claims professional in the UK. You'll support the wider claims team, gather evidence, generate reports and keep systems up to date as you start your career in complex claims.

You'll learn to manage your own claims caseload in line with Zego's philosophy, negotiate with third parties, and explore AI tools to enhance efficiency while delivering a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience handling claims in an insurance setting or as a paralegal/legal assistant on motor claims.
• Some working knowledge of MOJ and OIC portals.
• Strong telephone negotiation skills and ability to manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage your own claims caseload in line with Zego's claims philosophy and SLAs.
• Chase, receive and log evidence and supporting documents from customers.
• Respond promptly to calls and correspondence to avoid leakage and delays.
• Monitor ongoing credit hire periods to drive down claim costs and process payments promptly.
• Liaise with third party insurers, solicitors and credit hire organisations to progress and settle claims.
• Support Personal Injury claims inside and outside MOJ/OIC portals.
• Enter reserves accurately into the claims system per Zego principles.
• Conduct liability and quantum investigations, considering fraud risk.

This is a junior Personal Injury and Credit Hire Claims role, it designed for someone who is looking to start a career in complex claims. You'll support wider claims team and our customers through the claims journey. You'll gather evidence, generate reports, keep our systems up to date and always be there for our customer.

What you will be doing

• Learn on how to manage your own claims caseload in accordance with the Zego claims philosophy, claims handling procedures and service level agreements.
• Chase. receive and log evidence and supporting documents from customers.
• Responding proactively to incoming telephone calls and correspondence to avoid leakage and delays
• Monitoring ongoing credit hire periods to drive down claim costs and raising payments promptly and accurately.
• Liaising and negotiating with third party insurers and solicitors as well as credit hire organisations to progress and settle claims efficiently, with a pragmatic approach to claims handling.
• Support with the work on Personal Injury claims inside and outside of MOJ/OIC portals.
• Learn how to enter reserves accurately and promptly into the claims system in accordance with Zego reserving philosophy.
• Learn how to conduct liability and quantum investigations, whilst considering whether there is potential for fraud.

What you will need to be successful

• Claims handling experience in a insurance company or experience as a paralegal/legal assistant within a practice that deals with motor claims
• Some working knowledge of the MOJ and OIC portals
• Strong telephone negotiation skills.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload.
• Ability to learn, adapt to change and embrace AI tools.
