K2 Claims Services, LLC is seeking a seasoned Auto & Liability Examiner for a fully remote role. The position is based from Harrisburg, PA with a national remote footprint, requiring strong claims handling, regulatory compliance, and client reporting.

The candidate will manage diverse caseloads, coordinate with appraisers and counsel, and ensure accurate coverage analysis while supporting business growth and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial and/or personal lines liability and auto experience.
• 1 year of general liability experience preferred but not required.
• Licensing: ability to obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses.
• Work schedule: M-F, 40 hours per week.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Technical proficiency: proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually

About the Role K2 Claims Services, LLC ("K2 Claims") is actively seeking a motivated Auto & Liability Examiner with experience handling both commercial and/or personal lines’ liability and property damage claims with expansion into lower exposure general liability claims.

As a third-party administrator (TPA), K2 Claims services specialty programs across property, general liability, auto, professional liability and workers-compensation. This is a fully remote opportunity to join a well-established, growing company and contribute to building a world-class TPA.

Key Responsibilities

• Claim Handling: Manage claims in strict accordance with state-specific insurance regulations and K2 Claims' Best Practices.
• Diverse Caseload: Manage a broad spectrum of claims ranging from first- and third-party auto property damage and third-party liability claims to lower exposure dog bites, slip/falls, wrongful evictions, customer complaints and general business disputes.
• Caseload Management: assignment through resolution, including assigning and directing appraisers, reviewing estimates and supplements, evaluating total losses, and resolving loss of use and rental claims.
• Litigation Management: Oversee lower exposure litigated cases, including referring to counsel, establishing litigation plans and budgets, and providing settlement authority.
• Coverage Analysis: Analyze policy coverage and draft detailed reservation of rights and/or coverage declination letters.
• Large Loss Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and clients regarding claim status, recommended reserves, and strategic plans of action.
• Negotiation: Effectively negotiate settlements within assigned authority.
• Risk Evaluation: Analyze risk transfer options and determine insurance priority.
• Referrals: Identify and refer appropriate claims to subrogation or the Special Investigation Unit (SIU).

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of commercial and/or personal lines liability and auto experience.
• 1 year of general liability experience preferred but not required.
• Industry Background: Previous experience in a TPA or insurance carrier environment handling diverse programs.
• Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses.
• Work Schedule: Ability to work M-F, 40 hours per week.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a dedicated focus on customer service.
• Travel: Must be flexible for occasional business travel for training, mediations, and/or trials.
