Job summary

Travelers is offering an entry-level claims compensation program in the United States. You will be onboarded to Travelers systems, handling personal and business claims of basic to moderate complexity, and learn strategies to investigate, negotiate and resolve claims with strong verbal and written communication skills.

You will observe, ride-alongs, and work with a mentor to develop foundational claims knowledge while building customer service and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
• Majors such as Business Administration, Liberal Arts (business-focused), Business Management, Risk Management and Insurance, or related disciplines are suggested.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Structured onboarding to Travelers systems and protocols.
• Exposure to Personal and Business Insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity.
• Learn and apply strategies for investigating, negotiating and resolving claims thoroughly and efficiently.
• Develop knowledge of what happened, estimating damage, and determining applicable coverages while helping customers through written and verbal communication.
• Shadow experienced staff through desk work and ride-alongs to learn claims processes.
• Collaborate with a mentor to understand claims through core assignments.
• Build a foundation in customer service, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Complete meaningful project work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
