Job summary

USLI is seeking a knowledgeable Claims Counsel to provide guidance on complex litigation and evaluate coverage issues across claim types. The role includes drafting letters, managing outside counsel, and negotiating settlements within authority, with travel as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a JD and 1–5 years of litigation or 3–7 years in claims handling, plus proficiency with Westlaw. Position offers full-time status with some remote work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• JD required and licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 1–5 years of law firm/litigation experience and/or 3–7 years of claims handling experience.
• Good working knowledge of Westlaw and legal research efficiency.
