• Independent adjusters: Retain and direct adjusters during investigations.
• Liability analysis: Apply law to evaluate liability exposure and joint tortfeasors.
• Reserve maintenance: Maintain reserves reflecting evolving liability/damages.
• File management: Manage claims, negotiate settlements, supervise defense counsel.
