Job summary

A leading insurance company is seeking a legal expert to evaluate coverage issues and manage litigation. The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctorate and has 3 to 7 years of legal experience. Responsibilities include drafting coverage letters, overseeing litigation, and providing guidance to claims personnel. Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of law firm/litigation experience and/or claims handling experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for training and drafting.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and analyze coverage issues across claims.
• Draft comprehensive coverage and denial letters.
• Manage outside counsel in litigated matters.
• Serve as internal claims counsel to support claims adjusters.
• Proactively negotiate settlement of claims.
• Perform legal research and keep abreast of case law trends.
