Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services Inc. seeks a Claims Analytics Specialist Lead to deliver data-driven insights and reporting solutions across specialized claims lines. The role requires strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and strong collaboration across Claims, Finance, Actuarial, and Underwriting.

The ideal candidate will drive data strategy, build robust data infrastructure with Data Engineering, and mentor junior team members while delivering senior leadership reports and ad-hoc analyses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial or operational reporting, data analytics, or a related field.
• Strong familiarity with the Claims and Insurance industry.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with BI software suites. Strong working knowledge of DAX as a plus.
• Hands-on experience with data tools such as Git, DAX Studio, PBI Helper, and Visual Studio Pro.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Claims department leaders to identify and fulfill complex reporting and data needs, focusing on trends and patterns within specialized claims lines.
• Lead the development of a robust data infrastructure by collaborating with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to integrate external data sources and defining a curated environment of underlying insurance data.
• Gain a deep understanding of business processes and the data that drives them.
• Design and develop reports and analyses for senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including groups outside of Claims such as Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, and others.
• Quickly and accurately respond to ad-hoc data and reporting requests from Claims leadership and business partners.
• Mentor junior members of the team in report and code development and best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
