Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a civilian records and reports specialist to support the Field Operations Division. You will respond to non-emergency 911 calls, complete accident and incident reports, collect evidence, and assist investigators to ensure timely citizen services.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Georgia driver’s license, and strong writing and communication skills. A thorough background check and medical screening are part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; clean driving record and valid Georgia driver’s license preferred.
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills; ability to follow City of Atlanta policies.
  • Experience with report writing, incident documentation, and data entry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to non-emergency 911 calls for service as a civilian participant in Field Operations.
  • Complete accident reports and incident reports; collect evidence as needed.
  • Process theft-related crimes and assist investigators with timely information.
  • Provide excellent customer service to citizens and visitors of the City of Atlanta.
  • Maintain reports in city systems and document interactions with citizens on body-worn cameras.
  • Work within a para-military command structure and follow supervisory orders.
