Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Maintenance and Construction (DZMC) is seeking a Civil Supervisor to manage craft supervision on our Baxley, GA project. You will direct craft teams to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals while coordinating subcontractors, equipment usage, and supply procurement.

The role emphasizes adherence to DZMC safety and quality programs, and requires field walkthroughs, problem solving, and maintaining accurate business records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to read/write in English.
• Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.
• Visual acuity to prepare/analyze data and inspect machinery.
• Ability to withstand extreme environmental conditions (heat/cold, dust, fumes).
• Ability to read complex documents in English and express thoughts orally.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to Craft employees to meet safety, quality, cost, schedule and design requirements.
• Coordinate planning, work methods, subcontractors, equipment use, rentals, and procurement.
• Ensure crew compliance with Safety and Quality Programs.
• Maintain records/reports to protect company and client assets; model ethical standards.
• Conduct field walkdowns and inspect work in progress to resolve issues.
