Wallace Design Collective is seeking a Civil Summer Intern to join our collaborative team on real site development projects. You’ll work with civil engineers, surveyors, and landscape architects on site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design using industry-standard tools.

This internship emphasizes mentorship, hands-on experience, and integration into active project teams, with an hourly rate of $21.00–$28.75.

Qualifications

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
Technical Skills: Coursework in fluid mechanics, hydrology, or surveying; AutoCAD Civil 3D or GIS is a plus.
Mindset: Analytical, eager to learn, proactive in asking questions, detail-oriented.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication with a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

Site Layout & Civil Drafting: Prepare site development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Stormwater & Hydrology: Model runoff, size detention, and design green infrastructure.
Grading & Earthwork: Define finished grades, retainage, and cut/fill balances.
Permitting & Coordination: Exposure to municipal codes, zoning, and permitting processes.
Collaboration & Field Visits: Attend intern sessions and project team meetings; site visits as needed.
